Religious Tourism to Get a New Identity

The government's aim is that religious sites should not only become centers of reverence but also become a source of tourism and local employment. Along with major pilgrimage sites like Ayodhya, Kashi, and Mathura, work is now being done to bring other religious sites of the state onto the international map. This initiative will not only preserve the cultural heritage of the state but will also create new opportunities for tourism.
