Transrail Lighting Receives ₹1085 Crore T&D Order, Sends Shares Up 9%

Transrail Lighting Share: Transrail Lighting's shares experienced a significant surge on Tuesday, rising by approximately 9% on the BSE. This substantial intraday growth followed the company's securing of a new ₹1,085 crore Transmission and Distribution (T&D) order in the domestic market.

Reason for Share Price Surge

Transrail Lighting's share price opened 7.93% higher at ₹489.2 per share, marking its largest single-day gain since February 19, 2025. However, at the time of writing, the share price had slightly retreated, trading at ₹481.5 per share. At this time, the Nifty-50 index was up 2.09%.

Transrail Lighting Share Performance

Despite a 10% decline in Transrail Lighting's share price this year, the Nifty-50 also experienced a 1.4% drop during the same period. The company currently has a market capitalization of ₹6,526.19 crore.

₹1,085 Crore T&D Order

The company announced in an exchange filing on Monday that it had received new Transmission & Distribution (T&D) orders worth ₹1,085 crore from the domestic market. This follows a previous award of ₹1,647 crore in T&D and railway sector orders received in March.

Randeep Narang, Managing Director and CEO of the company, stated, "We are starting the fiscal year with this new order. This growth reinforces our market stability and aligns with our strategic focus."
