Patna Police Apprehend Four Criminals After Shootout

Patna, February 18 – A shootout occurred on Tuesday afternoon between police and criminals in Ashok Nagar, Ram Lakhan Path, under the jurisdiction of the Kankarbagh police station in Patna. Following the encounter, police swiftly apprehended four criminals.

According to reports, the criminals fired several rounds from a pistol at police from a private residence, prompting police to cordon off the entire building. Subsequently, a joint operation was launched by the Special Task Force (STF) and local police.

Siege and Operation

Upon receiving information, police from several stations, including an STF team, arrived at the scene. Seeing themselves surrounded, the criminals entered a house, where police quickly established a siege. According to police, the criminals fired several rounds from pistols, escalating the situation.

The police and commando team pressured the criminals to surrender. A commando team, wearing bulletproof jackets, entered the house. The police siege prevented the criminals from escaping, and after a two-hour operation, four criminals were arrested.

Property Dispute Triggered the Firing

Police stated that the firing stemmed from a property dispute. When police arrived, the criminals opened fire on them. However, police responded swiftly and prevented any civilian casualties.

Other Officials Arrived at the Scene

Patna's SSP, Avakash Kumar, also reached the scene and assisted in controlling the situation with the police force. Interrogation of the arrested criminals has begun, and a thorough investigation into the matter is underway.

Following the incident, police have tightened security in the Kankarbagh area to prevent future occurrences.
