While Bollywood is currently experiencing a wave of sequels and remakes, the re-release of an older film rarely makes such a significant impact. However, this romantic drama starring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane continues to resonate bly with audiences.

Recently, Hindi cinema has witnessed a trend of re-releasing classic films. Last year, films like "Laila Majnu" and "Veer Zara" were also brought back to theaters. However, the horror-thriller "Tumbbad" previously held the record for the highest-grossing re-release.

"Sanam Teri Kasam" Makes a Strong Collection on Thursday

"Sanam Teri Kasam" has created a sensation at the box office with its re-release, surpassing "Tumbbad." Reports indicate that "Tumbbad" grossed approximately ₹31.35 crore domestically, while "Sanam Teri Kasam" has now crossed ₹38 crore. Despite the release of other big films, "Sanam Teri Kasam" continues to perform well, even amidst the b run of "Chhapaak."

"Sanam Teri Kasam's" exceptional box office journey continues, and with its earnings growing at this rate, it seems poised to soon surpass the ₹50 crore mark. Notably, it has already become the highest-grossing re-released film, creating history with a ₹4 crore opening – the biggest opening ever for a re-released film. Interestingly, when "Sanam Teri Kasam" initially released in 2016, its total collection was only ₹9 crore.
