AIMPLB spokesperson Dr. Syed Qasim Rasool Ilyas stated that post-protest, it's clear that Muslim organizations and civil society support opposing this bill. He termed the bill "controversial, discriminatory, and harmful," advocating for its complete rejection.
The movement's initial phase will involve large protests in Patna (March 26) and Vijayawada (March 29). Senior AIMPLB leaders and representatives from various social and religious organizations will participate.
Appeal for Support from Political Parties
The AIMPLB has urged all political parties to encourage their MPs to participate in the protests. They've also warned that BJP alliance partners risk losing support if they continue backing the bill.
Detailed Plan for Nationwide Movement
The AIMPLB has devised a comprehensive nationwide movement plan, including protests in all state capitals. This will involve major rallies, sit-ins, human chains, and social media campaigns. District-level public meetings, seminars, and sit-ins will also be held, along with the submission of memorandums to the President of India. The AIMPLB's movement aims not only to oppose the bill but also to raise nationwide awareness against it.
