Justice Verma Will Not Work at Allahabad High Court
Sources indicate that while Justice Yashwant Verma has been transferred to the Allahabad High Court, he will not undertake any judicial work there. The Supreme Court clarified that Justice Verma's transfer and the action against him are separate processes. Justice Verma's transfer was made by the Supreme Court Collegium and is in accordance with regulations, while the investigation is a separate matter.
Investigation Process and Further Action
Following the investigation committee's report, further action will be taken in Justice Verma's case. The action against Justice Verma will not be limited to the transfer alone; it could have far-reaching consequences for the judiciary. The Supreme Court has also clarified that Justice Verma's transfer is separate from the ongoing in-house investigation against him.
