BJP Announces District and Metropolitan Presidents in Uttar Pradesh

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttar Pradesh has announced the names of its district and metropolitan presidents after a long wait. This process involved organizational changes in various districts. New district and metropolitan presidents have been appointed in several key districts, including the capital city, Lucknow.

Vijay Maurya Appointed BJP District President in Lucknow

In Lucknow, the BJP appointed Vijay Maurya as the district president. Previously, he served as the BJP's general secretary. His appointment was announced during a ceremony at Paras Inn Hotel in Sarojini Nagar, attended by Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Dinesh Sharma, election officer Dr. Ramapati Ram Tripathi, and observer Rajnish Maheshwari.

Anand Dwivedi Retains Post of Metropolitan President

Anand Dwivedi has been reappointed as the metropolitan president. He previously held this position. The announcement was met with enthusiasm among party workers.

Arun Kumar Gupta Appointed District President in Etawah

The announcement of the new BJP district president in Etawah was made on Sunday. District election officer Virendra Tiwari announced at the party office that Arun Kumar Gupta (Annu) had been appointed.

Arun Kumar Gupta became a BJP councilor from Katra Balsingh ward in 2000 and has served as the district general secretary for the past six years. His wife, Vineeta Gupta, contested the municipal president election in 2018. Arun Kumar Gupta is considered an influential leader of the Vaishya community in Etawah.

In Rampur district, the BJP appointed Harish Gangwar as the new district president. His appointment has been met with enthusiasm among party workers.

Changes in Agra and Firozabad

Rajkumar Gupta has been appointed as the BJP metropolitan president in Agra. The announcement was made at the Braj region office. Meanwhile, Satish Diwakar has been appointed as the BJP metropolitan president in Firozabad.

Veer Singh Bhadauria Reappointed in Kannauj

In Kannauj district, the BJP has reappointed Veer Singh Bhadauria as district president. District election officer Kameshwar Singh and state minister Prabha Shukla announced his appointment. Veer Singh began his political journey in student politics, becoming the student union president at PSM Degree College in 1998. He was given the responsibility of Lok Sabha constituency coordinator during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

Nirbhay Pandey Reappointed in Mathura

In Mathura district, the BJP, considering caste equations, adopted a strategy to appease both the Brahmin and OBC communities. Accordingly, Nirbhay Pandey has been appointed district president for a second consecutive term. Raju Yadav has been appointed metropolitan president. Raju Yadav previously served as the BJP's metropolitan general secretary and was associated with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).

First Woman District President in Kanpur Dehat

For the first time, the BJP in Kanpur Dehat has appointed a woman as district president. Renuka Sachan has been appointed as the BJP district president. She previously served as the district president of the BJP Mahila Morcha and has been actively involved in rural politics.

Anurag Awasthi Appointed in Unnao

In Unnao, the BJP appointed Anurag Awasthi as district president. Anurag Awasthi entered politics through the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and has consistently played an active role in the organization. He was elected as a member of the Unnao Nagar Palika Parishad four times from 1995 to 2017. He also served as the district president of the BJP's intellectual cell and twice as the district media in-charge.
