She informed that over 150 yoga classes will be conducted at Parmarth Niketan from 4:30 AM to 9:00 AM.
Increased Vehicle Pressure in the Pilgrimage City
Due to the International Yoga Festival and the tourist season, the pressure of vehicles in Rishikesh has significantly increased. On Saturday, traffic police had to divert routes throughout the day.
Main Reasons for Traffic Jams:
- A large number of pilgrims and tourists.
- Increased crowds due to Holi.
- Obstruction caused by three-wheelers and other vehicles stopping on the road.
Police Traffic Management Plan
The traffic police have set up barricades at Ghat Chowk, Chandrabhaga Bridge, and Doon Tiraha to control traffic in the city. Traffic in-charge Anwar Khan stated that the crowd is expected to increase further on Sunday, so vehicles will be diverted via the Chila route as needed.
A Wonderful Confluence of Yoga and Tourism in Rishikesh
Rishikesh is not only the yoga capital but also a prominent pilgrimage site. The International Yoga Festival will further boost spiritual tourism here. Yoga enthusiasts and practitioners will not only learn yoga on this sacred land but also experience spiritual peace.
