Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh is on the verge of a new era in road development. A historic agreement was signed on the first day of the MP Global Investors Summit 2025 to bolster the state's infrastructure. This agreement will see the construction of 4,010 kilometers of roads, highways, bypasses, and high-speed corridors at a cost of ₹1 lakh crore (100 billion rupees).
Madhya Pradesh to Receive a Robust Road Network
This significant agreement was signed between the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the state government in the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh. Chief Secretary Neeraj Mandloi, Managing Director of MPRDC Bharat Yadav, and NHAI Regional Officer S.K. Singh were also present during the signing ceremony.
Which Cities Will Benefit?
Under this project, many important highways and corridors in Madhya Pradesh will be upgraded, resulting in a faster and more efficient state transportation network. Major cities like Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Rewa, Sagar, Ujjain, Chhindwara, Khargone, and Satna will benefit from high-speed road connectivity. Industrial and commercial cities will be better connected via highways, boosting business and investment in the state. Improved road access will also be provided to rural areas, accelerating agricultural and commercial activities.
