Relief for Ujjwala Yojana Women Beneficiaries
Women beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana had already received free LPG cylinders previously. The BJP, in its election manifesto, had promised free cylinder refills for these beneficiaries during Diwali and Holi.
Free Cylinders for Diwali and Now Holi
Last year during Diwali, the Yogi Adityanath government fulfilled this promise by distributing cylinders to the beneficiaries. Now, free cylinder refills will also be provided to beneficiaries during the Holi festival. Over 1.85 crore beneficiaries in the state can avail of this scheme.
Stamp Papers Valued Between ₹10,000 and ₹25,000 Will No Longer Be Sold
Yogi Cabinet Approves Decision
In a cabinet meeting on Monday, 19 important proposals were approved. Among these was the decision to withdraw physical stamp papers valued between ₹10,000 and ₹25,000 from circulation in Uttar Pradesh.
Stamp and Registration Department Issues Notification
Following the Yogi cabinet's decision, the Stamp and Registration Department issued a notification on Tuesday. This notification completely bans the sale of stamp papers in this price range.
Use or Return by March 31
Individuals who purchased these stamp papers before the notification date can use them or return them by March 31.
