Tim Seifert Gets an Opportunity
With Chapman's absence, New Zealand has given an opportunity to top-order batsman Tim Seifert. Seifert was in excellent form in the recent T20 series against Pakistan, scoring 249 runs at an average of 62 and finishing as the series' top scorer. Coach Gary Stead deemed Seifert's inclusion the right decision.
New Zealand coach Gary Stead said, "It's unfortunate for Mark Chapman; he played a superb innings in Napier. However, the injury is minor, and we expect him to be available for the final match. Having an experienced player like Seifert come into the team will be beneficial for us."
