Rajasthan Royals, after losing the toss and electing to bat, struggled throughout their innings. Opener Sanju Samson was clean bowled by Vibhav Arora for 13 runs. Captain Riyan Parag scored 25 runs off 15 balls but fell victim to Varun Chakravarthy's spin. Yashasvi Jaiswal (29) couldn't convert a good start into a substantial score, becoming a victim of Moeen Ali's spin.
The middle order completely faltered, with Nitish Rana (8), Wanindu Hasaranga (4), Shubham Dube (9), and Hetmyer (7) making negligible contributions. However, Dhruv Jurel (33) and Jofra Archer (16) accelerated the scoring rate in the final overs, pushing the team's total to 151. De Kock played a magnificent unbeaten innings of 97 runs off 61 balls, smashing 12 fours and 3 sixes.
