Sports News: New Zealand's dominance continues in the T20 series against Pakistan. In the second match, New Zealand's impressive performance resulted in a 5-wicket victory over Pakistan, extending their series lead to 2-0. New Zealand's explosive batsman, Tim Seifert, played a whirlwind innings, smashing 45 runs off just 22 balls. He decimated Pakistan's bowling attack by hitting four sixes in a single over bowled by Shaheen Afridi.

Pakistan's Faltering Batting

Batting first, Pakistan managed only 135 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Salman Agha top-scored for the team with 46 runs, including 4 fours and 3 sixes. Shadab Khan also contributed a quickfire 26, offering some respite, but the other batsmen's performances were disappointing. New Zealand's bowlers kept Pakistan under pressure, consistently claiming wickets at regular intervals.

Seifert and Allen's Explosive Batting

Chasing a target of 136, New Zealand launched a blistering attack. Openers Tim Seifert and Finn Allen ruthlessly targeted the Pakistani bowlers. Seifert scored 45 runs off 22 balls, including 5 sixes and 3 fours, while Allen blazed 38 runs off 16 balls. The duo shifted the momentum decisively in New Zealand's favor in the initial overs.

Although New Zealand lost a few wickets in the middle, Mitchell Hay (21*) and captain Michael Bracewell (5*) guided the team to victory in 13.1 overs.

Ineffective Pakistani Bowling

Pakistan's bowling performance was underwhelming. Haris Rauf took the most wickets with 2, while Mohammad Ali and Khushdil Shah claimed 1 wicket each. Shaheen Afridi's bowling proved exceptionally expensive, particularly against Tim Seifert, against whom he appeared completely ineffective. This defeat leaves Pakistan trailing 0-2 in the five-match T20 series. The third match will be played in Auckland on March 21st, where Pakistan will need to significantly alter their strategy to mount a comeback.
