Comedian Kunal Kamra recently released a new video on social media, featuring satirical commentary on Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. In the video, Kamra uses a parody song to criticize the government's handling of inflation and tax policies, addressing the Finance Minister as "Nirmala Tai" (Nirmala Sister).

He recently posted a new video on social media targeting Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, causing a stir in political circles. This is his third video in the past five days criticizing the government and political leaders. Previously, on March 22nd, he commented on Maharashtra's Deputy CM Eknath Shinde and on March 25th, questioned the Modi government's development model.

T-Series Sends Copyright Notice

Following the release of Kamra's video, T-Series issued a copyright notice due to the use of a film song. Responding on the social media platform X, he wrote, "T-Series, stop being a stooge. This video falls under the category of parody and satire, legally covered under fair use. I haven't used any original song or instrumentals. If you remove this, then every cover song or dance video should also be removed." He also stated that he is currently residing in Tamil Nadu.

Police Intensify Action, Second Summons Issued

The Mumbai Police has issued a second summons to Kunal Kamra. He had previously been issued a summons but did not appear. His lawyer requested a seven-day extension, which the police rejected. Notably, a motion for breach of privilege has already been passed against him in the Maharashtra Legislative Council.

Politics Heats Up from Mumbai to Delhi

Kamra's controversy has taken on a political dimension. The Shiv Sena and BJP are demanding strict action against him, while the Shiv Sena (UBT) has come out in his support. Shiv Sena UBT criticized the vandalism of his recording studio by supporters of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Former Minister Aaditya Thackeray demanded that the perpetrators of the vandalism compensate for the damage.
