A hydra driver's murder was plotted by his wife just 15 days after their wedding. She, along with her lover, hired contract killers.
Crime News: In Auraiya district, a newlywed woman plotted the murder of her husband just 15 days after their wedding. She, in collaboration with her lover, paid contract killers using money received as wedding gifts. Police have arrested the wife, her lover, and one shooter, while the search for other accused is underway.
A Terrifying Plot Just 15 Days After the Wedding
The murder of Dilip Kumar (24), a hydra driver from Nagla Deepa village in Bhogaon police station area of Mainpuri district, shocked everyone. On March 19th, Dilip was found near Umarda in Kannauj, covered in blood. He died on March 21st during treatment. During the investigation, police found crucial CCTV footage and information about financial transactions.
Connecting the pieces, police discovered Dilip's wife, Pragati, to be the mastermind behind the murder. Police arrested Pragati, her lover Anurag alias Bablu alias Manoj Yadav, and a shooter, Ramji Nagar, during the investigation into the contract killing.
Pragati Could Not Tolerate Distance from Her Lover
During police interrogation, Pragati confessed that she was unhappy with her marriage. Her family, after learning about her affair, had forcibly married her to her elder sister's brother-in-law, Dilip. Dissatisfied with this marriage, she conspired with her lover to eliminate Dilip. Pragati agreed to pay ₹200,000 for the murder. She gave ₹100,000, received as wedding gifts, as an advance payment to the shooters.
On March 19th, when Dilip was returning from Shah Nagar with his hydra, the waiting shooters attacked him near Palia village. They beat him, shot him in the back of the head, and threw him into a wheat field. Police rushed him to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries on March 21st. SP Abhijit R Shankar stated that the murder was plotted due to a love affair. However, the identity of the shooter remains undisclosed. Police have sent the accused to jail and are searching for the absconding accused.
