26/11 Accused Tahawwur Rana Under NIA's High-Security Cell; Interrogation Begins Today Before Cameras, Movement Outside Completely Banned.

New Delhi – Tahawwur Rana, accused in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, has been placed in a high-security cell at the NIA headquarters after being brought to India. This special cell, located on the ground floor, boasts robust security measures, with access granted only to 12 authorized NIA officials.

14x14 Foot Secure Interrogation Room

The cell measures approximately 14 by 14 feet and includes a ground-level bed and an attached bathroom. Multilayer digital security, CCTV surveillance, and 24x7 security guards ensure its complete security. Entry for any unauthorized individual is strictly prohibited.

Recorded Interrogation Before CCTV Cameras

Following a strategic meeting of NIA officials, the interrogation process with Rana commenced today. This interrogation will take place in front of CCTV cameras, and the entire recording will be securely stored in digital format. Every question and answer will be documented for investigation purposes.

Interrogation Confined to the Cell; No Permission to Leave

The entire interrogation and legal process will be conducted within this cell. Tahawwur Rana will not be permitted to leave the cell during questioning. Food, essential supplies, and medical assistance will also be provided within the cell.

8 National Agencies Request Permission to Interrogate

Eight major Indian investigative agencies have so far requested permission to interrogate Tahawwur Rana. According to NIA sources, several international angles are likely to emerge in this case. The agency is working with utmost seriousness and vigilance regarding the investigation related to Rana, who was extradited from the United States.

NIA Focus – Preventing Leaks in the Investigation

Rana is being held in such secure custody that any information leak is virtually impossible. The aim is to ensure that the interrogation and evidence collection proceed without any hindrance or external interference.
