Bihar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a b statement on terrorism and its supporters following the Pulwama terror attack. Addressing the world from Madhubani district in Bihar, he issued a clear warning: “We will identify them, we will track them, and we will not spare them.” This signifies India's commitment to identifying, pursuing, and eliminating terrorists wherever they hide.
The Prime Minister was in Madhubani to attend the Panchayati Raj Diwas celebrations. He began the event by observing a moment of silence and expressing condolences for those killed in the Pulwama attack.
“This Was Not Just an Attack” – PM Modi
PM Modi stated, “The attack in Pulwama was not merely on unarmed tourists; it was an attack on the soul of India. Those behind this violence will face consequences beyond their imagination.”
He emphasized the nation's unity in grief and solidarity with the victims, assuring that the government is making every effort to provide the best possible medical care to the injured.
PM Modi’s Message to the International Community
In his speech, PM Modi used English to deliver a message to the world: “This is a message for the world. We will not rest till every terrorist and their supporter is punished. Humanity stands with India.”
This statement was clearly directed against Pakistan and the masterminds of terrorism. He asserted that every nation that believes in humanity stands with India.
India’s Retaliation
Following the Pulwama terror attack, the Indian government took b and decisive action against Pakistan. Prime Minister Modi announced that India had suspended the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty with immediate effect. The Attari-Wagah border crossing was also temporarily closed, halting movement between the two countries.
The government revoked the visas of all Pakistani citizens issued under the SAARC visa exemption scheme. Furthermore, military, air, and naval advisors working at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi were declared persona non grata and ordered to leave the country within a week. Similarly, Indian defense, naval, and air advisors from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad were recalled.
India’s Clear Message Against Terrorism
The Prime Minister asserted that India will never compromise on terrorism. Those who support terrorism, whether within the country or across the border, will not be spared.
He reiterated, “Terrorism will never break India’s spirit. Ensuring that terrorists are punished will be ensured.”
