Weather Update: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has released its nationwide weather forecast for today. The forecast indicates that states in northern and western India will continue to experience severe heat and heatwaves, requiring people to remain vigilant. Temperatures are expected to remain high, particularly in Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Punjab. Meanwhile, rainfall in northeastern and southern states may offer some respite.

Light to moderate rainfall is anticipated in areas such as Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Assam, and Meghalaya. Additionally, the influence of a western disturbance may bring light rain and b winds to certain areas. This shift in weather patterns could significantly impact both farmers and the general public.

Intense Heat in Northern and Western India

Delhi-NCR

In Delhi-NCR, the maximum temperature is expected to range between 40-42°C, and the minimum temperature between 24-26°C. The weather will remain mainly clear, although partly cloudy conditions may prevail in the evening. Wind speeds may reach 10-20 km per hour. People are advised to avoid going outdoors during the afternoon and to drink plenty of water.

Rajasthan

Southern States

Light to heavy rainfall is likely in parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. The meteorological department has issued warnings for these regions.
