The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced Team India's home schedule for 2025. The schedule begins with a Test series against the West Indies, followed by a series against South Africa encompassing all three formats of the game.
Sports News: The BCCI announced Team India's home schedule for 2025 on the evening of April 2nd. Currently, most Indian players are busy participating in the 18th season of the IPL. Following the IPL, in June, the Indian team will tour England for a five-match Test series.
After the England tour concludes, India's home schedule will commence on October 2nd and run until December 19th. The schedule will begin with a Test series against the West Indies.
Home Schedule Begins: Test Series Against West Indies
Team India's home schedule will kick off with a two-match Test series against the West Indies. The first Test will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad from October 2nd to 6th. The second and final Test will be held at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata from October 10th to 14th. This series will be part of the fourth edition of the World Test Championship.
South Africa's Tour of India: Clash Across All Three Formats
Following the Test series against the West Indies, South Africa will tour India. This tour will also begin with a two-match Test series. The first Test will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi from November 14th, while the second Test will be held at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati from November 22nd. Notably, this will be the first red-ball international match to be played in Guwahati.
ODI and T20 Series Schedule
After the Test series, the two teams will play a three-match ODI series. The first ODI will be played on November 30th, while the second and third matches will be held on December 3rd and 6th respectively. The ODIs will begin at 1:30 PM IST. This will be followed by a five-match T20 series, running from December 9th to 19th. All T20 matches will commence at 7:00 PM IST.
Most of Team India's players are currently engaged in the 18th season of the IPL. After this, the Indian team will tour England in June for a five-match Test series. India's home season will begin after the England tour.
