Mahindra XUV700 Facelift: Mahindra is set to launch the facelift of its 7-seater SUV, the XUV700, in the first half of 2026. The updated model will not include mechanical changes and will continue to be offered with the 2.0-liter mStallion petrol and 2.0-liter mHawk diesel engines. The cabin will be equipped with features like a triple screen setup, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, a new dashboard, and a Harman/Kardon audio system. The front design will be inspired by the XEV 9e, featuring a new grille and LED headlamps.
Design Inspired by XEV 9e
According to spy shots and reports, the new XUV700 facelift will feature a design inspired by Mahindra's electric SUV, the XEV 9e. This signifies a more modern and premium look for the SUV. The redesigned grille and headlamps will further enhance its appeal.
Cabin and Triple Screen Setup
The interior of the new XUV700 will also receive a complete overhaul. The standout feature will be the triple screen setup, previously seen in the XEV 9e. This setup will include separate displays for the driver and passenger, along with an infotainment screen. The new SUV will also support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The dashboard will be restyled, and there's a possibility of it being equipped with a Harman/Kardon audio system. However, many features from the current model are expected to be retained in the new version.
Engine and Driving Options
No mechanical changes will be made to the new XUV700 facelift. The SUV will continue to be powered by a 2.0-liter turbo mStallion petrol engine and a 2.0-liter mHawk diesel engine. The petrol engine will produce 200PS of power and 380Nm of torque, while the diesel engine will deliver 155PS of power and 360Nm of torque.
Both manual and automatic gearbox options will be available for the SUV. This indicates that the driving experience will remain similar to that of the current model.
Competition in the Premium 7-Seater Segment
Set to arrive in 2026, the XUV700 facelift will contend with the Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, and MG Hector Plus in the premium 7-seater SUV segment. With its new design and triple screen setup, this SUV is poised to become an even more attractive option for customers.
Slight Price Increase Expected
Considering the cosmetic and feature updates, a slight increase in the price of the new XUV700 facelift is anticipated. Currently, the XUV700 is priced between ₹14.49 lakh and ₹25.14 lakh (ex-showroom). This price may see a minor upward revision with the facelift.
