Zadran scored the highest with 48 runs and Gurbaz scored 40. Afghanistan posted a score of 170 runs for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs. For UAE, Asif Khan fought till the end, scoring 40 runs off 28 balls, including four boundaries and two sixes. He battled to secure victory for his team until the final over, but UAE was bowled out for 166 runs against Afghanistan's bowling.
Afghanistan's Innings
Afghanistan batted with a quick start. Gurbaz and Zadran laid a b foundation for the team by adding 98 runs for the first wicket. Mohammad Farooq dismissed Gurbaz in the 12th over. Zadran was sent back to the pavilion by Haider Ali on the first ball of the 13th over. After this, Karim Janat scored 28 runs off 14 balls, while Gulbadin and Azmatullah contributed 20 and 14 runs respectively, remaining not out off 14 and 9 balls, helping the team reach a respectable score.
UAE's Challenge
Chasing a target of 171 runs, UAE received b support at the start. Alishan Sharafu and captain Muhammad Waseem added 65 runs for the first wicket. Noor Ahmad dismissed Sharafu on the fourth ball of the eighth over. Waseem scored 44 runs off 29 balls, which included two fours and three sixes.
Later, Muhammad Jawad scored 23 runs off 19 balls, but the contribution from other batsmen was limited. In the end, Asif Khan, along with Harshit, tried their best to bring the team close to victory, but on the last ball, Fareed Ahmad had Asif caught by Gurbaz, securing a thrilling victory for Afghanistan.
