Sports News: The All India Chess Federation (AICF) has initiated a commendable effort to elevate Indian chess to new heights. The AICF has launched a stipend scheme under the Top National Player Stipend Scheme (TNPSS), aiming to nurture the talent of promising and emerging young chess players across the country by providing them with financial assistance. Chess is rapidly gaining popularity in India. Players like Gukesh D, Praggnanandhaa R, and Vidit Gujrathi are attracting the youth towards chess. However, there are many talented children in small towns and rural areas who lack resources. In such a situation, this AICF scheme not only provides financial assistance but also becomes a mental support, ensuring that the country stands with them.
