Akhilesh Yadav Expels MLA Pooja Pal from Samajwadi Party

Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav has expelled rebel MLA Pooja Pal from the party. This information was conveyed through a letter.

UP Politics: Uttar Pradesh politics is once again in turmoil. Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Pooja Pal has been expelled by party president Akhilesh Yadav. This action has been taken against Pooja Pal, the MLA from the Chail seat in Kaushambi, for allegedly engaging in anti-party activities. The SP president has issued a letter to the MLA in this regard, stating that Pooja Pal engaged in anti-party activities and disregarded warnings given to her.

Her behavior has caused damage to the party. The letter clearly states that her actions fall under the category of anti-party activities and serious indiscipline. The letter also states that, "You are immediately expelled from the Samajwadi Party with immediate effect." You are also removed from all party positions. You will no longer participate in any Samajwadi Party programs or meetings, and you will not be invited to them.

What was the controversial comment?

The reason behind this action is Pooja Pal's praise of CM Yogi Adityanath. During a discussion on the 'Vision Document 2047' during the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly's monsoon session, Pooja Pal praised the Yogi government's law and order and zero-tolerance policy. She said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath provided justice in her husband's murder case and punished mafia-like criminals.

Reacting to this, Minister Sanjay Nishad said, "What is in the heart, comes out." I thank Pooja Pal for this. This statement became a topic of discussion in political circles, as any praise for the state government by SP leaders, contrary to the party line, was seen as indiscipline.

Strict rules of discipline in SP

Pooja Pal is the fourth SP MLA to be dismissed from the party in the past month. Prior to this, Manoj Pandey, Abhay Singh, and Rakesh Pratap Singh were also shown the door. Analysts say that the SP is now making party discipline even stricter and is seriously looking at the potential for any leader to deviate from the party line.

This move by the SP sent a message that anti-party activities or openly praising the opposition government by any leader in the party will not be tolerated.
