New Delhi: On September 19, a woman died and her husband was injured in a collision between a bike and a water tanker in South District, Ambedkar Nagar. The accident occurred near Pushp Vihar when a speeding tanker collided with the bike without signaling. The accused tanker driver fled the scene. Police have registered a case based on the statement of complainant Gajendra and started the search for the accused. The deceased has been identified as Hemlata (35).

Woman Dies in Tanker Collision

According to information, the incident occurred on the morning of September 19. Gajendra (34) was on his way to Pushp Vihar to pick up his wife Hemlata (35) and daughter from school. Suddenly, near Khanpur Red Light, a speeding water tanker, without signaling, turned left and collided with their bike.

Due to this collision, both Gajendra and Hemlata fell. The tanker driver stopped for a moment and then fled the scene. Meanwhile, Gajendra, with the help of an auto driver, rushed his wife to the hospital, but doctors declared her brought dead.

FIR Registered Against Driver After Incident

Upon receiving information about the incident, the police arrived at the scene. Based on Gajendra's statement, the police registered an FIR. The tanker driver has been identified as the main accused in the case, and a search for him is currently underway.

Police stated that Gajendra accurately detailed the incident, explaining that the rear part of the tanker had collided with their bike. Police are attempting to identify the accused by reviewing nearby CCTV footage and taking statements from witnesses.

Family Recounts Pain of the Accident

Gajendra stated that he works for a private company and was on his way to pick up his daughter from school in the morning. He mentioned that the accident happened suddenly, and he tried his best to save his wife, but was unsuccessful due to the circumstances.

The incident has left the family in deep shock. Family members are now hoping for justice and want the accused to be arrested soon. According to them, high speed and negligence on the road often prove fatal.
