Apple has recorded a record export of India-made iPhones in the first six months of this year. According to the report, iPhones worth $10 billion (approximately 88,600 crore rupees) were shipped abroad, marking a 75% increase compared to last year. Demand for Made-in-India iPhones has surged in the United States, and new plants are boosting production capacity.

Apple Production Record: In the first six months of this year, Apple exported India-made iPhones worth $10 billion (approximately 88,600 crore rupees). This export represents a 75% increase over last year. Apple produced all models of the iPhone 17 in India, and preparations for new foldable iPhones are also underway in the country. The United States received the largest share of these exports. Tata Electronics' Hosur plant and Foxconn's Bengaluru plant are contributing to this increased production.

Apple's Production Growing in India

Apple has recorded a record export of India-made iPhones in the first six months of this year. According to the report, iPhones worth $10 billion (approximately 88,600 crore rupees) were shipped abroad, marking a 75% increase compared to last year. The company is now producing all models of the iPhone 17 in India, and there is a possibility that the foldable iPhone, set to launch next year, will also be manufactured in India.

Export records were also broken in September. Last September, Apple exported iPhones worth $490 million, whereas this year, that figure reached $1.2 billion.

New Plants and Production Capacity

This growth is attributed to the inauguration of new factories in India. In April, Tata Electronics' Hosur plant and Foxconn's Bengaluru plant became operational. Currently, a total of 5 iPhone manufacturing facilities are operating in India. These plants are helping Apple rapidly produce high-demand models.

Experts suggest that Apple's production and exports could surpass last year's figures this year. However, challenges like US tariffs and global supply chain disruptions might have some impact.

Exports from India to the US

Between April and August, the United States received the largest share of India-made smartphones, primarily iPhones. During this period, smartphones worth $8.43 billion were shipped to the US, compared to $2.88 billion during the same time last year. Apple's Made-in-India phones rank first in exports to the US, while Samsung holds the second position.

Apple's increasing production and exports in India are positive indicators for the Indian economy and the technology industry. In the coming years, India's production capacity for new iPhone models and foldable iPhones is likely to expand. Users and investors should consider this trend when making decisions.
