Ayodhya's Chaudah Kosi Parikrama 2025: Major Traffic Diversions Announced

Significant traffic changes have been implemented for the Chaudah Kosi Parikrama, scheduled to take place in Ayodhya from October 29 to October 31, 2025. This event holds special religious significance for devotees, and the administration has prepared a comprehensive traffic diversion plan to ensure smooth arrangements.

The Parikrama will commence on October 29 at 6 PM and will continue until October 31. During this period, the movement of all types of vehicles will be restricted on several routes in Ayodhya, as they fall within the Parikrama route.

Main routes where traffic will be restricted:

Vehicle entry will be prohibited at key locations such as Saadatganj Bypass Chauraha, Shanti Chowk, Makbara Tiraha, Naveenmandi Chauraha, Kudhakishavpur Tiraha, and Gosaiganj Bazar Tiraha. Special attention will be given to areas around the Parikrama route, and vehicles passing through them will be directed to alternative routes.

Vehicles coming from Sultanpur: will be diverted from Kudebhar towards Purvanchal Expressway.

Vehicles coming from Rae Bareli: will be diverted from Haliyapur towards Purvanchal Expressway.

Vehicles coming from Azamgarh and Ambedkarnagar: will be diverted from Gohanna Mod Ambedkarnagar via Dostpur towards Purvanchal Expressway.

Vehicles coming from Barabanki: will be diverted from Bhitaria Ramsanehi Ghat via Haidergarh towards Purvanchal Expressway.

Vehicles coming from Gorakhpur: will be diverted from Gorakhpur via Link Expressway onto Purvanchal Expressway. Vehicles going to Lucknow from Balrampur, Bahraich, Gonda, Shravasti via Ayodhya: will be diverted from Tikora Mod via Chahalri Ghat Road onto Sidhauli Sitapur-Lucknow route.

Vehicles coming from Kanpur: will be diverted from Kanpur, Unnao, Maurawan, Mohanlalganj, Gosaiganj, Chand Sarai onto Purvanchal Expressway.

Vehicles coming from Agra Expressway in Lucknow: will be diverted from Mohan, Junabganj to Mohanlalganj and Gosaiganj onto Purvanchal Expressway.
