This meeting has given a new direction to the political stir in UP. During the meeting, Azam Khan said that the injustice he faced should not happen to anyone else. He also clarified that he would not deliberately put his head on a railway track.
What Azam Khan Said
Azam Khan told the media that the main issue of discussion between him and Akhilesh Yadav was to ensure that situations like his judicial and administrative troubles do not happen to anyone else. He said, “People should get justice from the courts. The agency investigating my case should remain impartial and deliver justice. What happened to me, to my acquaintances, and to Jauhar Ali University which I founded, should not happen to anyone else.”
Azam also stated that he came to Lucknow and therefore deemed it necessary to meet Akhilesh Yadav. This meeting was not just a formality; it is considered important for strengthening his political message.
Taunt on Nitish Government
When Azam Khan was asked about going to Bihar for elections and campaigning, he responded directly by targeting the Nitish Kumar government. He said, “It is being said that there is 'jungle raj' (lawlessness) in Bihar. People do not live in jungles. How can I go into a 'jungle raj'? I will not deliberately put my head on a railway track.” This makes it clear that Azam Khan is openly expressing his views on political situations and will not engage in any risky activities.
Akhilesh Yadav gave special importance to the meeting with Azam Khan. After the meeting, he shared pictures with Azam Khan on the social media platform X. In the caption of the pictures, Akhilesh wrote, “When he came to our home today, who knows how many memories he brought with him. This was not their first meeting. After Azam Khan's release from jail, Akhilesh Yadav's first meeting with him took place at Azam Khan's home in Rampur. At that time, both leaders had told the media that there was no bitterness between them and that their relationship was normal.
