Now, they will reach out to farmers with schemes with more enthusiasm and play an active role in solving their problems.

According to the advisors, they will get the opportunity to interact directly with farmers by visiting fields and understanding their needs. This will help in understanding the real impact of the schemes and increase the possibilities of improvement in the agricultural sector.

Agriculture Department Starts Zero Office Day

The Bihar government has initiated 'Zero Office Day' to bring about changes in the working style of agriculture officers. Under this initiative, instead of sitting in their offices and working, officials will directly visit fields and villages. The aim is to connect directly with the farmers, understand their problems and assess the actual status of agricultural schemes.

Under this initiative, Block Agriculture Officer Kedar Rai visited the fields of farmers in Bhelwa and Sattar Panchayat on Wednesday. He inspected the condition of coarse grains i.e. millets crops and checked the seeds and other materials distributed by the department.

Benefits and Awareness of Millets Farming

Kedar Rai informed the farmers about the economic and nutritional benefits of millets crops. He made the farmers aware of the ways to increase income and do environment-friendly agriculture through this farming. Officials believe that such visits will help in understanding the problems of farmers immediately and help in their solution.

The Zero Office Day process also helps officials to know how effective the schemes are and which areas need improvement. This ensures the correct use of government resources and the farmers get real benefits.

Objective of the Scheme

The main objective of this initiative of the Agriculture Department is to know the ground reality of the schemes and to establish direct communication between the officers and the farmers. This will help in improving farming, adopting new technologies and better implementation of government schemes.
