Bihar CM Oath Ceremony: The process of forming a new government in Bihar has reached its final stage. Following a massive majority in the assembly elections, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is now engaged in preparations for forming the government. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar may resign from his post on Monday. Following his resignation, the oath-taking ceremony of the new government is likely to be held on November 20 at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with several senior NDA leaders, will be present at this historic event.

NDA's Resounding Victory Clears Path for Government Formation

In the recently concluded Bihar Assembly elections, the NDA returned to power with a three-fourths majority. The alliance secured 202 seats in the 243-member assembly. This victory not only changed Bihar's political direction but also outlined the state's upcoming policies.

In this election, BJP emerged as the single largest party, securing 89 seats, while JD(U) won 85 seats. Additionally, Union Minister Chirag Paswan's LJP(RV) received 19 seats. Among NDA's smaller allies, HAM and RLM together secured 9 seats. Thus, the combined performance of all parties ensured a b majority for the NDA.

Who Will Lead the New Government?

According to reports from News18, intense discussions are underway within the NDA regarding the new Chief Minister. However, the final announcement is likely to be made around the oath-taking ceremony.

Election Results: A Major Setback for the Opposition

While the NDA secured a majority, the performance of the opposition parties raised several major questions. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) managed to win only 25 seats in this election. The Congress and other allied parties also faced disappointment, with Congress securing only 6 seats. This result is considered a serious signal for the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance).

Impact of Escalating Conflict within the RJD Family

Following the election results, tensions within Lalu Yadav's family have openly surfaced. RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's daughter, Rohini Acharya, announced her resignation from politics, intensifying the atmosphere. She attributed the defeat to two close associates of her brother, Tejashwi Yadav, stating that the family faced humiliation due to this loss.

Immediately after the elections, Lalu Yadav's three daughters—Ragini Yadav, Chanda Yadav, and Raj Lakshmi Yadav—were seen departing from Patna Airport for Delhi. ANI and PTI shared videos of them at the airport. A few hours later, the fourth sister, Hema Yadav, also appeared at Delhi Airport.

Rohini Acharya's Emotional Post

Sharing her experiences on social media, Rohini Acharya claimed that a major argument occurred within the family after the election defeat. She stated that she was insulted, abused, and even physically assaulted. She wrote that she did not compromise her self-respect and had to endure humiliation due to events that transpired within the family.

Rohini also claimed that her parents, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi, always blessed her. She asserted that everything she has said is completely true and that she has not lied about any incident.

Allegations Against Tejashwi Yadav and His Associates

Rohini directly accused RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and his close associates—MP Sanjay Yadav and Ramiz. She stated that these individuals ostracized her from the family. She claimed that when she questioned the election defeat, she was insulted instead of being given answers.

She alleged that the entire burden within the family is placed upon the daughters, while the brothers try to evade responsibilities. Rohini stated that when she sought answers from her brother, she was advised to go to her in-laws' house, after which she distanced herself from Tejashwi Yadav.

RJD's Crushing Defeat

This time, the RJD contested over 140 seats but was confined to just 25 seats. This outcome is considered a major setback for the Lalu family and the party. Political experts suggest that both the results and the internal strife could increase challenges for the RJD in the coming years.

Why Will November 20 Be Special?

November 20 is considered a significant day in Bihar politics. Extensive preparations are underway for the oath-taking ceremony at Gandhi Maidan. Along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several Union Ministers, senior BJP leaders, leaders of NDA allies, and other special invitees will be present at the event.

This ceremony is significant in the state's political history for several reasons. The first reason is the NDA's significant victory. The second reason is that the escalating conflict within the opposition and the RJD family immediately after the election results has made the political atmosphere even more sensitive. In this scenario, all eyes are on this event and the outline of the new government.

Agenda for the People of Bihar for the Next Five Years

Following the NDA's victory, issues such as development, employment, education, infrastructure, and law-and-order will remain paramount for Bihar. The steps taken by the new government will determine the state's direction. Focus is expected on political stability, administrative reforms, and economic revitalization.
