Kaimur: In Bihar's Kaimur district, a married woman from the Bhabhua police station area eloped from her home with her brother-in-law. The woman also took jewelry worth Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 1 lakh cash with her. Following a complaint from her husband, police traced both individuals based on mobile tracing and confidential information. On Monday at 4 PM, police recovered the woman and her brother-in-law. Bhabhua Station House Officer Mukesh Kumar stated that the investigation into the matter and further legal action are underway.
Woman Elopes from Home with Brother-in-Law
A woman residing in a village within the Bhabhua police station area suddenly went missing from her home a few days ago. Her husband reported that his wife eloped with jewelry worth Rs 1.5 lakh and approximately Rs 1 lakh cash. This incident shocked the entire family.
Family members and relatives made significant efforts to search for the woman, but no clue was found. Meanwhile, the husband officially filed a complaint about his wife's disappearance at the Bhabhua police station.
Husband Accuses Wife's Brother-in-Law
In the complaint, the husband stated that his wife's brother-in-law, a resident of a village in the Mohania police station area, lured her away. The husband claimed that the woman was under the influence of her brother-in-law, who convinced her to elope with him.
Upon receiving the complaint, the police initiated a serious investigation into the matter. After tracing mobile numbers and questioning local residents, the police began efforts to ascertain the location of the woman and her brother-in-law.
Brother-in-Law and Sister-in-Law Safely Recovered Based on Confidential Information
Police received confidential information that the woman and her brother-in-law were hiding in another village within the district. Based on this information, Bhabhua police conducted a raid and safely recovered them.
Bhabhua Station House Officer Mukesh Kumar informed that a police team located the woman and her brother-in-law on Monday at 4 PM. Currently, statements from both are being recorded, and the investigation into the case is ongoing.
Police Investigation and Further Action
Police are now trying to ascertain how long the woman had been absconding with her brother-in-law and what activities they engaged in during that period. Additionally, efforts are underway to locate the cash and jewelry taken by the woman.
The local administration has appealed to the public to immediately report any suspicious activity to the police. Officials state that timely information in such cases enables swift and safe action.
