Soma Thakur, nominated from Bagda in North 24 Parganas district, is the wife of Union Minister of State Shantanu Thakur. Her candidature has been noted in the context of the party’s organizational positioning in the constituency.

The party has also fielded Santosh Pathak from the Chowringhee Assembly constituency in Kolkata. Pathak recently joined the Bharatiya Janata Party after leaving the Congress.

The candidate selection in the fourth list reflects a mix of new entrants and previously established leaders across constituencies. The party continues to announce candidates as part of its preparations for the upcoming election.

All major political parties are actively engaged in preparations for the West Bengal Assembly elections 2026. The release of successive candidate lists indicates ongoing electoral planning and candidate finalisation by the Bharatiya Janata Party.
