CM Yogi in Varanasi: Sanskrit to Become Global Connector; Boost for Women, Agriculture & Development

During his Varanasi visit, CM Yogi Adityanath stated that Sanskrit would become the language connecting the world. Mentioning Takshashila University and Panini, he said that India's cultural heritage would pave the way for global welfare.

Varanasi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived in Varanasi on Monday for a two-day visit. He first distributed sewing machines and laptops to 250 boys and girls at the 14th session-ending ceremony of the Sewing-Embroidery and Computer Training Centre organized by the Annapurna Trust. On this occasion, he stated that Sanskrit is not merely a language of knowledge, but will become the language that connects the world in the times to come.

CM Yogi, citing the example of Takshashila University, explained that it was the world's first university and is a gift from India. He said that great scholars like Maharishi Panini and Maharishi Valmiki have disseminated knowledge and culture through Sanskrit. He believes that Sanskrit will pave the way for cultural connection and global welfare in the world.

Self-Employment Schemes for Women

CM Yogi stated that the government is continuously striving to make women self-reliant through health, education, and skill missions. He informed that women's participation in the textile industry is being promoted. 'Vastra Mitra Parks' and Textile Parks are being established in the state, which will provide employment to women and make their products available worldwide.

Yogi praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, stating that PM Modi has implemented several schemes for women's upliftment and societal development. These schemes include Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, housing schemes, toilet facilities, and gas connections.

CM Yogi Directs Removal of Illegal Encroachments

During a review meeting with police and administrative officers at the Circuit House Auditorium, CM Yogi directed the removal of illegal encroachments from government lands. He stated that it would be ensured at all costs that the land of the poor is not encroached upon. This step has been taken to ensure law and order and the pace of development works.

Additionally, he visited the home of classical music maestro Pandit Chhannulal Mishra, expressed his condolences to the family members, and paid tribute by offering flowers on his portrait.

Aim to Globalize Agriculture Sector in Varanasi

CM Yogi participated in the three-day DSR Conclave organized at the South Asia Regional Centre (ISARC) of the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI). He stated that Uttar Pradesh aims to become a global food basket by 2030. For this, the development of high-quality seeds and climate-adaptive new technologies is essential.

Yogi informed that revolutionary changes have occurred in Uttar Pradesh's agricultural system over the past 11 years. The production capacity of grains, pulses, oilseeds, and vegetables has increased up to fivefold. The state's contribution to national food production is 21%, while its geographical area is only 11%.
