Congress MP Manickam Tagore Retaliates Against Shashi Tharoor's 'Don't Ask to Fly' Post – 'Hawks, Vultures, Eagles Hunt.' Reactions are also coming in on the question of joining the BJP, which is being raised in the party.

Delhi: Senior Congress leader and MP Shashi Tharoor has once again become embroiled in controversies within the party. The criticism that began after praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi has now reached social media posts. Last Wednesday, Shashi Tharoor wrote in a post, "Don't ask for permission to fly. The wings are yours and the sky belongs to no one." This post is being seen as a criticism of the Congress leadership.

Mallikarjun Kharge's displeasure

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge had publicly expressed his displeasure over Tharoor's praise of Modi. He considered it a form of indiscipline and advised Tharoor to refrain from speaking against the party line. Tharoor, however, has repeatedly said that he has only spoken in favor of India, not in support of any political party.

Congress MP Manickam Tagore's retort

After Tharoor's 'flying' post, Congress MP Manickam Tagore also responded on social media. He wrote, "Don't ask for permission to fly. Birds don't have to take permission to fly... but in today's time, even a free bird should look at the sky. Hawks, vultures, and eagles always hunt. Freedom doesn't come free, especially when the hunters wear patriotism like wings." This statement by Tagore was clearly against Tharoor.

Tharoor's Clarification: 'I was representing India'

Responding to the criticism from Congress leaders, Shashi Tharoor said that he had presented India's achievements on the international stage, not praised any particular leader or party. He said that when India is honored on the global stage, it is a victory for all Indians, not just one party.
