VP Election 2025: Political activity surrounding India's Vice Presidential Election 2025 has intensified. NDA candidate CP Radhakrishnan has filed his nomination in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The nomination event, held at the Parliament House complex, saw a significant presence of prominent NDA leaders. This sends a clear message that the BJP and its allies are standing with full strength in this election.
PM Modi Becomes First Proposer
The most important aspect during the filing of nomination was that Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself became the first proposer for CP Radhakrishnan. This step is not only politically significant but also demonstrates that the party and the coalition stand with full consensus and support for Radhakrishnan's name. Apart from Modi, BJP President JP Nadda, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and Home Minister Amit Shah were also present at the event.
Nomination Filing Process
CP Radhakrishnan's nomination was filed in a total of four sets. Each set has the signatures of 20 proposers and 20 seconders. The first set prominently features the signature of Prime Minister Modi. The remaining sets were signed by central ministers and senior NDA leaders. This symbolizes the broad consensus and strength within the NDA regarding Radhakrishnan's candidacy.
Presence of 160 MPs
The atmosphere in the Parliament House was very enthusiastic during the nomination. Around 160 members of the NDA were present on this occasion. These included central ministers, MPs, and senior leaders of allied parties. This number in itself is proof that the coalition is entering the Vice Presidential election united.
In Which Meeting Was the Name Decided?
The decision to make CP Radhakrishnan the NDA candidate was taken recently in a meeting held at the residence of Union Minister Pralhad Joshi. In this meeting, all the NDA allies unanimously agreed on Radhakrishnan's name. Only after this was his name formally announced, and the nomination filed today.
Jitan Ram Manjhi Expressed Support
Senior NDA ally and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi also clearly stated that all the leaders of the coalition have resolved to support Radhakrishnan's candidature. This statement sends a b message to the opposition that the NDA candidate is in a b position in this election.
