CRPF Accuses Rahul Gandhi of Security Protocol Violations Amidst Foreign Trips Controversy

CRPF Accuses Rahul Gandhi of Violating Security Protocols; Controversy Escalates Due to Six Foreign Trips. Congress Questions the Letter, While BJP Demands an Investigation.

New Delhi: Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has recently found himself at the center of a new controversy. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has recently written a letter to Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of violating security protocols. This letter has stirred up political circles and raised questions about why Rahul Gandhi is disregarding his security instructions.

In this letter, the CRPF has clarified that Rahul Gandhi has undertaken six foreign trips in the past nine months without prior notification. This behavior could jeopardize his Z+ category security. The CRPF states that such lapses are a serious concern for his safety and could expose him to danger.

CRPF's Allegation: Disregard for Security Protocols

The CRPF has stated in this letter that Rahul Gandhi has violated security instructions 113 times from 2020 to the present. His six foreign visits in the last nine months are particularly noteworthy. The CRPF has also provided details of his travel itinerary:

  • Italy: December 30, 2024, to January 9, 2025
  • Vietnam: March 12, 2025, to March 17, 2025
  • Dubai: April 17, 2025, to April 23, 2025
  • Qatar: June 11, 2025, to June 18, 2025
  • London: June 25, 2025, to July 6, 2025
  • Malaysia: September 4, 2025, to September 8, 2025

The CRPF contends that it was not informed in a timely manner about these trips, which directly indicates a lapse in security arrangements.

Congress's Response and Questions

The Congress party has also raised questions regarding the CRPF's letter. Congress leader Pawan Khera wrote on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that the timing of this letter is suspicious. He stated that Rahul Gandhi is about to make disclosures on vote tampering and other sensitive issues. He suggested that efforts are being made to silence his voice and create controversy.

The Congress also claims that attempts are being made to exert political pressure through the CRPF's letter. Pawan Khera directly questioned whether the government is afraid of Rahul Gandhi's revelations and if the issue of security breaches has been raised to prevent them.

BJP Raises Questions, Demands Investigation

Following the CRPF's letter, the BJP has also targeted the Congress and Rahul Gandhi on this matter. Union Minister Giriraj Singh stated that Rahul Gandhi is provided security, but he himself does not adhere to security protocols. He also said that the six foreign trips in nine months should be investigated.

Giriraj Singh clearly stated that if Rahul Gandhi has gone abroad for personal reasons, he should disclose them. Otherwise, the government should form an inquiry committee to ascertain what he does during his foreign visits and what the purpose of his tours is.

Questions Arise in Political Circles

A heated debate has ensued in the political atmosphere following the CRPF's letter. Many political analysts believe that the timing of this letter is significant, coinciding with electoral and sensitive issues. Political opponents allege that this letter has been sent to destabilize Rahul Gandhi and divert attention from his upcoming revelations.

Meanwhile, the Congress maintains that this is an attempt to exert political pressure and suppress the voice of the opposition. This also raises questions about the extent to which security agencies can remain impartial in political matters.
