Daulatpur Chowk Ambala Cantt Passenger Train Cancellation Extended Until October

The Daulatpur Chowk–Ambala Cantt passenger train has been a convenient option for passengers travelling from Himachal Pradesh to Chandigarh. A large number of passengers from Una and surrounding areas depend on the service for travel to Chandigarh and other cities.

The train's scheduled arrival time at Una is around 7:17 am. The service was therefore useful for passengers travelling to Chandigarh via Ambala in the morning. With the train remaining cancelled, passengers are now having to use alternative modes of transport.

The cancellation has limited options for passengers travelling to Chandigarh. After the Jan Shatabdi that leaves Una at around 5 am for Delhi via Chandigarh, passengers may have to wait longer for a convenient rail service.

The situation is particularly difficult for daily commuters who regularly travel to Chandigarh for jobs, business and other necessary work. Some passengers are having to rely on road transport and plan their journeys in advance.

Daily commuters have urged the railway to complete the infrastructure work at Chandigarh railway station at the earliest. Passengers have said that although the work is affecting train services, the prolonged cancellation is increasing difficulties for the public.

Passengers have also demanded that the Daulatpur Chowk–Ambala Cantt passenger train be restored on priority after completion of the construction work. For now, passengers will have to wait until October for the restoration of the service.
