Delhi Rains: Several areas in Delhi and NCR experienced heavy rainfall on Saturday afternoon, offering significant respite from the intense heat that had gripped the capital. Residents, weary of the prolonged heat and humidity, welcomed the downpour. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued a warning earlier in the afternoon, forecasting heavy rain, b winds, and the possibility of lightning in several parts of Delhi, NCR, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.

In its latest forecast, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that moderate to heavy rain, accompanied by thunderstorms, is expected in Delhi and surrounding areas over the next few hours. The forecast also predicts b winds with speeds of 40 to 60 kilometers per hour and the possibility of thunderstorms.
Areas Experiencing Heavy Rainfall
Heavy rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, has been reported in Zafarabad, Najafgarh, Dwarka, Palam, IGI Airport, Vasant Vihar, Vasant Kunj, Hauz Khas, Kalkaji, Mehrauli, Tughlakabad, Chhatarpur, IGNOU, and Ayanagar in Delhi.
Weather Change in NCR
Rainfall has also been reported or is expected in Noida, Greater Noida, Dadri, Gurugram, Faridabad, Manesar, and Ballabhgarh. The weather department predicts that these areas will also experience continued rainfall with b winds.

Heavy rainfall is also expected in areas like Jind, Hansi, Jhajjar, Faridabad, Sohna, Meham, Mattanhel, Palwal in Haryana, and Agra, Barsana, Nandgaon, and Sikandrabad in Uttar Pradesh. Residents of these areas have been advised to exercise caution.

According to the IMD, light to moderate rainfall and b winds are likely in areas like Mundka, Paschim Vihar, Rajouri Garden, Patel Nagar, Buddha Jayanti Park, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Rajiv Chowk, ITO, Delhi Cantt, India Gate, Akshardham, Safdarjung, Lodhi Road, Nehru Stadium, RK Puram, Defence Colony, and Lajpat Nagar in Delhi.
Impact in Rajasthan Areas
Light to moderate rainfall is also predicted in Nagar, Deeg, Bhiwadi, Tijara, Kotputli, Alwar, Nadbai, Bharatpur, and Dholpur in Rajasthan. The weather has also taken a sudden turn in these areas.
