The Directorate of Education, Government of Delhi, will release the second merit list for admission to Nursery, Kindergarten, and Class 1 in government and recognised private schools across Delhi on 9 February 2026. The merit list will be prepared through a lottery system as part of the ongoing admission process.
Parents and guardians who have applied for admission can check the second merit list on the official Directorate of Education website, edudel.nic.in. The merit list will also be available on the websites of the respective schools where applications were submitted. In cases where online access is not available, the merit list can be viewed by visiting the concerned school in person.
Following the release of the second merit list, parents or guardians who have objections, queries, or issues related to the admission process may approach the respective schools between 10 February and 16 February 2026. During this period, schools will verify documents and address admission-related concerns.
If seats remain vacant after the completion of the second phase of admissions, the next merit list will be released on 5 March 2026. The Directorate of Education has fixed 19 March 2026 as the final date for completion of the Nursery admission process, by which all admissions must be concluded.
At the time of admission to Nursery, Kindergarten, and Class 1, parents are required to submit mandatory documents. These include proof of residence of the child or parent, voter ID card of either parent, ration card with the child’s name mentioned, passport, electricity or telephone bill, and Aadhaar card or UID card of the parents.
