The controversy began with an advertisement by Ekta Kapoor. In it, she claimed, "I gave the world K-drama." This was a reference to her famous TV shows like ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’, ‘Kkusum’, and ‘Pavitra Rishta’. In the advertisement, Ekta criticized the acting of some actors, while she deemed others as inexperienced in acting.

After this advertisement went viral on social media, criticism began among viewers and within the industry. However, as the controversy grew, the advertisement was removed from the platform.

Ekta Kapoor Expresses Regret
