SPORTS NEWS: The second match of the five-match youth ODI series between India and England Under-19 teams was filled with excitement and fluctuating fortunes. Team India, which came out with high spirits, had to face a 1-wicket defeat due to an explosive innings by England captain Thomas Rave. With this victory, England made a comeback in the series, leveling the score at 1-1.

The match's outcome was decided on the third ball of the final over, which kept the fans on the edge of their seats. India, batting first, scored 290 runs, but England chased down the target in 49.3 overs, thanks to a century by captain Thomas Rave.

India's innings: Early setback

England, having won the toss and chosen to bowl first, put India's top order under pressure early on. Opener Ayush Mhatre returned to the pavilion without scoring a run on the very first ball. England's fast bowler AM French took his wicket, but also appeared nervous. He completed his first over in 12 balls and conceded 10 runs, including 6 wides.

After this, Indian batsmen tried to score runs cautiously. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 45 runs, including 5 fours and 3 towering sixes. Vaibhav Suryavanshi (45 runs), Rahul Kumar (47 runs), and Kanishk Chauhan (45 runs) also failed to convert their good starts into big innings. This resulted in Team India being bowled out for 290 runs in 49 overs. For England, AM French finally found his rhythm, taking 4 wickets and strengthening the team.

England's innings: Captain's power

England, chasing a target of 291 runs, had a shaky start. Indian bowlers created a flutter in the English camp by taking early wickets. It seemed that India would once again be close to victory, but then England's captain Thomas Rave stepped onto the crease and changed the entire scenario. Rave assessed the situation in the beginning, then became aggressive. He played a memorable innings of 131 runs in just 89 balls, which included 16 fours and 6 sixes. His strike rate was 147, which shows how he disrupted the rhythm of the Indian bowlers.

No other English batsman, apart from Rave, could play a big innings, but the captain's patience and courage supported the other players. In the final overs, England had lost 9 wickets, but the team was close to the target, thanks to Rave. When only 3 runs were needed for victory in the 50th over, India took the 9th wicket, and the match became exciting once again. But finally, on the third ball of the 50th over, England won by 1 wicket and snatched the victory from Team India's grasp.
