A farmer has alleged that he was assaulted while supervising paddy transplantation in his field. The farmer claimed that a group of people attacked him with sticks and threatened to kill him by displaying a pistol.
According to the complainant, he was overseeing paddy transplantation in his field when several people arrived and an argument broke out over an unspecified issue. He alleged that the dispute quickly escalated and that the attackers assaulted him with sticks, causing injuries to multiple parts of his body.
The farmer said that other people present at the field intervened and managed to stop the altercation. With the assistance of local residents, he was taken to a nearby health centre for treatment. After receiving primary medical care, his condition was reported to be normal.
Following the incident, the injured farmer submitted a written complaint at the local police station and sought strict action against the accused.
Police said they have begun an investigation after receiving the complaint. Officials stated that all allegations mentioned in the complaint are being examined. They said the scene of the incident will be inspected and statements of eyewitnesses will be recorded. If the allegations are found to be true during the investigation, action will be taken against the concerned individuals in accordance with Indian law.

Villagers said that minor disputes during the farming season sometimes escalate into serious incidents. They urged the administration to strengthen law and order in villages and ensure prompt action in such cases to maintain farmers' sense of security.
