Farmer Donates Home for School After Tragedy, Living in Farm Hut to Prioritize Children's Education

In Piparodi village of Jhalawar, Mor Singh donated his house for school after a building collapsed, ensuring children's education. The family is now living in a hut on their farm. The administration and society have lauded his sacrifice.

Pipradi: The building of the Government Higher Primary School in Piparodi village of Jhalawar collapsed in the month of July. Seven innocent children lost their lives in this accident, and many were injured. After the accident, the challenge of continuing the children's education arose.

During this difficult time, village farmer Mor Singh dedicated his house to the school and began living in a tarpaulin hut on his farm with his family. His act became an example of courage and humanity in the entire region.

Mor Singh Takes a Big Step to Save Children's Education

After a part of the Piparodi school collapsed, the children's education was on the verge of stopping. Teachers were searching for alternative spaces, but no one was willing to offer their home or room for the children's studies.

Then, Mor Singh extended a helping hand to the children without any hesitation. He said, "What greater service could there be than for children to study in my home? Be it rain or shine, I will live in the fields with my family, but the children's education must not stop."

Assisting Children's Education While Living in a Farm Hut

Mor Singh's family consists of eight members. Now, they all live in a makeshift hut built on the farm. This hut, made of plastic and tarpaulin, contains only two cots, a stove, and a few utensils. The rest of the belongings have been kept with relatives.

During the rains, the roof leaks, and at night, they burn grass to ward off insects and snakes. Despite this, no member of the family has raised any objection. They say that children are now studying in their home, which makes them feel proud.

Mor Singh's House Becomes Children's School

Mor Singh built this house in 2011, spending 4 lakh rupees from his daily wage labor. Now, that same house is open for children's education. Mor Singh says that this is a difficult time, but it is not permanent. They will return to their home after a new school building is constructed.

Jhalawar Collector Ajay Singh Rathore praised Mor Singh's sacrifice and conferred upon him the title of 'Bhamashah'. The state government approved 10 bighas of land and 1.8 crore rupees for the new school building. Mor Singh also received compensation of two lakh rupees.

Pipradi School Reopens with Mor Singh's Help

Following Mor Singh's gesture, the villagers' confidence was restored. Now, 75 children are studying in the school, and 10 new children have been admitted after the accident. According to teacher Mahesh Meena, eight children injured in the accident are still undergoing treatment at home. To ensure their studies do not stop, two additional teachers have been sent to their homes.

The construction of the new school building has begun, and the Rajasthan government has announced the development of Piparodi as a 'Model Village'. The village slogan is:

'Our Resolve – Transformation of Piparodi, from Accident to Development.'

Mor Singh's Sacrifice Becomes an Example of Education and Humanity

Despite being uneducated, Mor Singh understood the true value of education and dedicated his home for children's studies. His sacrifice sends a message to the entire society that humanity and education are the greatest strengths. Today, everyone in Piparodi village cites Mor Singh as an example and considers his action inspirational.
