Union Minister for Power and Housing, Manohar Lal Khattar, provided information regarding the upcoming cabinet approval for the Delhi-Haryana-Rajasthan Rapid Rail Corridor (RRRTS). This 164-kilometer-long corridor will complete journeys in 117 minutes, with a station every 8 kilometers.
Chandigarh: Union Minister for Power and Housing, Manohar Lal Khattar, announced on Friday (September 5) that the Delhi-Haryana-Rajasthan Rapid Rail Corridor is set to receive cabinet approval soon. The commencement of this project will significantly ease and expedite travel for residents of Haryana and surrounding regions.
The minister stated that this Rapid Rail Transport Service, also known as the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRRTS), will originate from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi and extend through Gurugram, Dharuhera, and Bawal to Neemrana.
Stations Every 8 Kilometers on the Rapid Rail Corridor
The minister informed that stations will be constructed at intervals of every eight kilometers along this rapid rail corridor. The objective is to provide passengers with greater convenience and enable them to reach their destinations in less time during their journeys.
Furthermore, an additional section of this network will run from Faridabad to Jewar, thereby not only covering distances but also strengthening regional connectivity.
Delhi-Haryana Travel in 2 Hours via 164 km Rapid Rail
This 164-kilometer-long rapid rail corridor will feature a combination of elevated tracks and tunnels. The project is slated for completion in three phases.
Upon completion of this corridor, travel time between key cities in Delhi and Haryana/Rajasthan will be reduced to less than 2 hours, positively impacting business, education, and daily commutes.
Foundation Stone Laid for Metro Corridor in Gurugram
In Gurugram, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini laid the foundation stone for the metro expansion on Friday. He stated that 27 stations will be built along the 28.5-kilometer-long metro corridor from Millennium City Centre to Cyber City.
The estimated cost of this project is approximately ₹5,500 crore. Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Haryana Cabinet Minister Rao Narbir Singh were also present at the foundation stone-laying ceremony. This project will further bolster the metro network within the city.
New Rail and Metro to Strengthen Delhi-Haryana Connectivity
The new rapid rail line and metro expansion will offer passengers the benefits of faster, more convenient, and time-bound travel. This project will elevate connectivity between Delhi and Haryana to new heights.
