Rajak was formally inducted into the party by the Principal General Secretary of the Bihar unit, Ranvijay Sahu, at the party's state office. During this, party's state spokesperson Ejaz Ahmed honored him by giving him a membership receipt along with the lantern symbol and Lalu Prasad Yadav's biography "Gopalganj to Raisina."
Meeting with Tejashwi Yadav
After joining the RJD, Devnarayan Rajak, along with his supporters, met with the Leader of the Opposition and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav. In this meeting, both sides discussed the strategy for the upcoming elections. Rajak's move indicates that he will now work as an active and b face for the RJD.
Displeasure with BJP
Devnarayan Rajak became an MLA from the Banmankhi Assembly on a BJP ticket in 2000. However, his ticket was cut in 2005, and since then, he has been neglected by the party. Rajak was angry due to not receiving due respect in ticket distribution and the party's neglect. This resentment led him to the RJD.
