In Parliament, Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi demanded answers from the government regarding Rafale jets, security failures, and the access of terrorists in Operation Sindoor. He stated that the country has the right to know the truth.
Operation Sindoor: The debate between the opposition and the ruling party regarding Operation Sindoor continues in the monsoon session of Parliament. In the Lok Sabha, Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi directly questioned the central government. He asked how terrorists were able to reach a sensitive area like Pahalgam and succeed in killing 26 people.
"If Rafale Jets Have Crashed, it's a Serious Loss"
Gaurav Gogoi expressed concern over the potential losses associated with Operation Sindoor. He said that if some Rafale fighter jets were shot down during the operation, it would be a major loss that would weaken the country's defense capabilities. He demanded that the government provide clear information on this subject.
Questions Raised on Terrorists' Access
Gogoi also questioned how terrorists reached Pahalgam within the valley despite such heavy security. He stated that such a lapse reflects the failure of the security apparatus. He demanded transparency in the planning, monitoring, and execution of the entire operation.
"The Public Has a Right to Know"
The Congress MP said that the people of the country have the right to know the complete truth of Operation Sindoor. He appealed to the government to fix accountability at every level. He also clarified that the opposition has sought this debate not just for criticism, but to ask questions and get answers.
"Why Didn't the Prime Minister Visit the Affected Area?"
Gaurav Gogoi also questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that immediately after the attack, the Prime Minister gave a political speech in Bihar but did not visit the affected area. He said that the Prime Minister should have gone directly to the people in this time of crisis.
Gogoi informed that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi himself visited Pahalgam, met with the victim families, and gathered information about the situation. He said that the government should show action on the ground instead of just giving statements from the platform.
"The Central Government Should Give Answers, Not the Lieutenant Governor"
Commenting on Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Gaurav Gogoi said that the government is repeatedly trying to evade responsibility. He said that the responsibility for serious subjects like national security rests with the central government, and it should be the one to provide answers.
He said that after the attack and Operation Sindoor, some forces are spreading misinformation. He appealed to the government to come forward with the facts so that rumors can be stopped. He said that this is a time of information warfare, and only transparency is the answer.
