Indian equity markets are indicating a weak start to the trading session, with Gift Nifty signaling a negative opening. At around 7:15 a.m., Gift Nifty was trading at 23,112, down 28.50 points, or 0.12%.
Market participants noted that stability in crude oil prices and expectations of easing global geopolitical tensions are gradually supporting investor sentiment. Amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East, expectations of a lower likelihood of any major conflict have also provided support to market sentiment.
Global markets are showing mixed trends, while signals from the United States and other major economies point toward stability. Controlled crude oil prices are providing support to import-dependent economies such as India and could help ease inflationary pressures. Against this backdrop, investors are expected to remain cautious and focus on select stocks during the session.
Lenskart Solutions is expected to remain in focus following reports of a major block deal. Platinum Jasmine, an entity linked to the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, may sell approximately 2.3% of its stake in the company. The deal is reported to have a floor price of ₹486 per share and a total size of around ₹1,944 crore.
Zee Entertainment Enterprises may also attract attention after its board approved raising up to ₹2,300 crore in capital for strategic purposes.

Meesho witnessed a large share sale, with two investment entities collectively selling more than 60 million shares at approximately ₹165 per share. The block deal was valued at more than ₹988 crore.
Vascon Engineers secured an EPC project worth ₹347.43 crore from CPWD Guwahati. The project is related to the reconstruction of RBI quarters.
Power Grid Corporation approved an investment of around ₹485 crore for the upgradation of SCADA and related systems.
Central Bank of India and Punjab National Bank have increased interest rates on FCNR(B) deposits. Punjab National Bank plans to offer interest rates of up to 6.10% and expects to mobilize about $2.5 billion. Central Bank of India has also raised rates on 3–5 year deposit schemes to as much as 6%.
Deccan Gold Mines signed an agreement to increase its stake in the Logrosan Tungsten Project in Spain.
CMR Green Technologies saw Goldman Sachs Funds acquire a 0.88% stake in the company for approximately ₹49.81 crore.
