Gift Nifty Signals Weak Opening as Investors Track RBI Policy and Corporate Developments

Gift Nifty traded at 23,477, down 15.50 points in early trade, indicating a subdued start for Indian equities. Investors are monitoring RBI policy developments, continued FII selling, and corporate updates from Infosys, Adani Ports, Vedanta, Canara Bank, and other companies.

Domestic equity markets are expected to open on a subdued note on Wednesday, with Gift Nifty indicating a marginal decline in early trade. Persistent foreign institutional investor (FII) selling and global economic uncertainties are expected to keep market sentiment cautious in the near term.

At around 7:15 a.m., Gift Nifty was trading at 23,477, down 15.50 points, or 0.07%.

Market participants are also monitoring the outcome of the Reserve Bank of India’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting scheduled this week. Analysts said market movements may remain range-bound until there is greater clarity on global cues and a moderation in FII selling activity.

Global volatility and cautious investor sentiment are expected to contribute to continued fluctuations in Indian equity markets.
