Several schools, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) office and the Haryana Court in Gurugram received bomb threat emails on Friday, prompting security agencies to place sensitive locations on high alert. Police, the bomb disposal squad and the cyber cell have launched an investigation, while security has been tightened at all affected premises.
According to reports, the sender of the email claimed to be a member of an organisation and listed several demands. The email called for the withdrawal of an FIR registered against CJP Students and also included an objectionable warning related to the singing of "Vande Mataram" in schools. The authenticity of these claims is being examined by the relevant agencies.
Following the threat, teams from the Gurugram Police, bomb disposal squad, dog squad and cyber cell were immediately deployed. Thorough searches were conducted at the district court complex, the Mini Secretariat and other sensitive locations. Security has been intensified across the area, and authorities are maintaining surveillance for any suspicious activity. Investigators are carrying out a technical examination of the email to identify its source and sender.
After the threat was received, the District Bar Association advised advocates and other individuals to vacate the court premises. Scheduled judicial proceedings at the District and Sessions Court were temporarily affected for security reasons. The Bar Association also requested the concerned courts to assign fresh dates for listed cases and appealed to visitors to avoid unnecessary gatherings at the court complex.
Security measures have been strengthened at the affected schools and government offices across the city. Additional police personnel have been deployed at several locations as a precaution. School administrations have been instructed to remain vigilant and follow established security protocols. Officials have urged the public not to pay attention to rumours and to rely only on information issued through official channels.
Investigating agencies are examining the source of the email, its authenticity and all aspects of the incident. As of now, there has been no official confirmation of any suspicious object or explosive being found. Police said the matter is being treated seriously and that all necessary security measures have been implemented. The administration has appealed to residents to remain calm and immediately report any suspicious activity to the police.
