Gujarat Fake Voters: Gujarat Congress President Amit Chavda on Friday alleged major irregularities in the state's voter list, stating that millions of voters are bogus, duplicate, or fake. Chavda alleged that the Election Commission is working under pressure from the BJP, and the party will soon present concrete evidence to the public. He questioned why BJP leaders had suddenly become so concerned and started offering explanations. The BJP has completely rejected the allegations, calling them political rhetoric by the Congress.
Allegation of Millions of Fake Voters
Gujarat Congress President Amit Chavda has accused the state's voter list of containing serious irregularities. Chavda stated that millions of voters are fake, bogus, or duplicate. He claims that this was revealed in the Congress party's initial investigation, and solid evidence has also been gathered. He accused the Election Commission of acting under pressure from the BJP and said the party will soon present full details to the public.
He clarified that the voter list was analyzed in Gujarat, similar to Bihar, which revealed several irregularities. Chavda assured that the party would prove its claims with evidence and provide complete information to the public in the coming days.
Allegations Against the Election Commission and BJP
Chavda said that the Election Commission is working under pressure from the BJP. He questioned why BJP leaders had suddenly become so worried and immediately started giving explanations, as if they had been caught red-handed. According to him, this campaign is only for the protection of votes and the security of democracy.
BJP's Retort and Rejection of the Claim
Gujarat BJP spokesperson Yagnesh Dave completely rejected Chavda's allegations. Dave said that the Congress leader is making claims of vote theft due to fear of potential defeat in the Bihar Assembly elections. He emphasized that the Election Commission is an independent body and has conducted fair elections under its leadership in many states of the country.
Dave sarcastically questioned that if vote theft occurred, wouldn't Congress have formed a full majority government in Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, and Telangana? He said that Congress had gained power in these states through the democratic process, and the accusations were baseless.
