Hero MotoCorp has launched a new single-seat variant of the Xtreme 125R, priced at ₹1 lakh. It features a 124.7 cc engine, a 5-speed gearbox, and single-channel ABS. The new model emerges as a mid-level option between the split-seat variants and promises better comfort at an affordable price.
Xtreme 125R: Hero MotoCorp has launched a new single-seat variant of the Xtreme 125R to strengthen its hold in the 125 cc segment. It is priced at ₹1 lakh, positioned between the split-seat IBS variant (₹98,425) and the ABS variant (₹1.02 lakh). It retains the same 124.7 cc single-cylinder engine that generates 11.4 bhp of power and 10.5 Nm of torque. The single-seat setup provides more comfort to the rider, while single-channel ABS and LED headlights are provided for safety.
A Better Option for Customers
Hero MotoCorp recently launched the Glamour X, which is India's first 125 cc bike with cruise control. To strengthen this lineup, the company has now given the Xtreme 125R a new form. The new single-seat variant has been launched at a price of ₹1 lakh. In terms of price, this variant is above the split-seat IBS variant (₹98,425) and slightly below the split-seat ABS variant (₹1,02,000). In this way, this model offers a middle ground option to customers.
Changes in Style and Design
The Hero Xtreme 125R has always been known for its sporty design. The split-seat setup was an important part of its identity, but the new single-seat variant is slightly different. It now has a single, long seat, which will provide more comfort to both rider and pillion. However, this has slightly reduced the bike's aggressive and sporty look. Still, its design remains attractive due to the tank shape, LED headlights and body graphics.
Engine and Performance
As far as the engine is concerned, this variant also gets the same 124.7 cc single-cylinder engine. This engine generates 11.4 bhp of power at 8,250 rpm and 10.5 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. It also gets a 5-speed gearbox. The engine's performance can be considered balanced for both city and highway conditions. No changes have been made to the engine in this variant, but it has been made more practical by improving seating comfort.
Safety and Features
In terms of safety, Hero has equipped this bike with single-channel ABS. The braking system is b and maintains control even at high speeds. In addition, it features attractive LED headlights, a digital instrument cluster, and a sporty tank design. The tire and suspension setup is also the same as before, which is considered better according to Indian roads.
Focus on Customer Preference
Hero MotoCorp has always made changes keeping in mind the needs of the customers. The new single-seat variant is an example of this. Nowadays, young customers want style as well as comfort in a bike. Especially during long rides, a single seat is more convenient. The company believes that this model can gain a good hold in urban customers as well as in small towns and villages.
₹1 Lakh Single-Seat Variant Launched
The new Hero Xtreme 125R's single-seat variant is available for ₹1 lakh. Considering its price, this model is a great option for mid-level buyers. Customers can also choose the split-seat IBS or ABS variant if they wish. The company has made this model available at all its dealerships.
